Training Calendar and Timelines

As a coaching community, we are investing a lot in making Mento an incredible place for coaching. Right now, we offer two coach training programs that are designed to grow your coaching potential, and create strong connections with your fellow Mento coaches and team.

Currently, there are two major trainings that all Mento coaches are asked to complete: Coaching 101: Intro to Coaching and Coaching 201: Advanced Coaching Skills.

The Trainings

Coaching 101: Intro to Coaching

Coaching 101 is an 8-week introductory training led by our Head of Coaching Tara. This is a great opportunity for new coaches, both certified and not, to get in the same Zoom Room, meet one another, and learn from Tara and each other about what makes a great coach.

At the end of this training, Mento coaches will be able to answer What is coaching? What makes a successful coach? How do I engage with new members? How do I keep my members engaged? and more!

Coaches will also learn how to use the Mento platform and will learn how to use the Sessions 1-3 engagement framework during this time as well.

While all Mento coaches will complete Coaching 101, it is not a gatekeeper to getting members. Many of our coaches get members on week 2 or 3 of Coaching 101! πŸŽ‰

Coaching 201: Advanced Coaching Skills

Coaching 201 is a 4-week program for our tenured coaches. This training is designed to help coaches coaches re-invigorate and re-inspire coaching relationships. Topics discussed in Advanced Coaching Skills are how to set vivid goals, how to achieve results and consistency, and how to reinvigorate long-term coaching relationships. You will be proactively added to your cohorts Coaching 201 training 6-months from when you sign up for a Coaching 101 cohort.

Attendance

Since both these trainings are a series, it is important that you attend all sessions. We do not record the sessions since they are highly interactive and designed. They are also heavy on participation with various buddies. They are an opportunity to invest in your own growth as a coach (and human!), and also an opportunity to forge meaningful relationships with an incredible community of coaches. Many of our coaches end up having their own recurring meetings with members in their cohorts. How great is that?! πŸ˜ƒ

If you sign up for a training, please show up, be on time, participate and have a growth mindset! For Coaching 101, if you have to miss a session, please let us know BEFORE the training begins. You must be present for 100% of the time (no ins and outs!). While we understand that life and work happens, we like to practice what we promote after all and making time for your own growth is critical! If you have to miss a 101 session, you need to let us know BEFORE it begins. If you miss more than one, please join a different cohort! πŸ˜ƒΒ Since Coaching 201 is only four weeks, we ask that you be able to make all four session, with the exception of an emergency.

Compensation for trainings

As mentioned in the Payments, Bonuses & Billing section, coaches who participate in each of the training sessions will receive a training completion bonus as a thank you! You will receive $500 bonus 90 days after you have completed Coaching 101 so long as you have attended 7/8 sessions, and you will receive a $250 bonus 90 days after you complete Coaching 201 so long as you have 100% attendance.
