    Mento Coach Growth & Recognition Program

    Effective January 1, 2026

    We're thrilled to introduce Mento’s new Coach Growth & Recognition Program, designed to reward your dedication, capacity, and excellence as a Mento Coach. This program honors both your loyalty to Mento and your commitment to serving our members.

    Coach Compensation Pathways

    All standard leadership rates are 1-hour total which covers 45 min session + 15 min prep

    Starting Rate: $70/hour

    Every coach’s base rate upon completing Coaching 101 and beginning your coaching journey with Mento.

    $80/Hour Tier – Multiple Paths to Recognition

    Achieve this tier through any of the following pathways:

    • Momentum Path: 12 months and 12+ members (rewards early capacity building)
    • Growth Path: 18 months and 10+ members (balanced capacity development)
    • Commitment Path: 24 months and 6+ members (rewards sustained partnership)

    $90/Hour Tier – Advanced Recognition

    Achieve this tier through any of the following pathways:

    • Scale Path: 12 months and 18+ members (rewards expanded member impact)
    • Capacity Path: 24 months and 15+ members (sustained member service)
    • Partnership Path: 36 months and 10+ members (honors long-term dedication)

    Executive Coaching: $170/session

    Executive session rates are inclusive of the 60-minute session and 15-minute prep. These sessions are compensated on a session basis (vs. hourly for leadership).

    Available to coaches of any tenure. Selection is based on experience, fit and expertise for our Executive members.

    Maintaining Your Tier

    To qualify for and maintain a rate increase, you must demonstrate:

    ✓ Availability: Actively open to new member matches (full capacity is the exception)

    ✓ Capacity Commitment: Maintain your qualifying member count

    ✓ Member Retention: High retention with low voluntary churn

    ✓ Session Consistency: Regular sessions with minimal last-minute cancellations (urgent situations excepted)

    ✓ Coach Excellence: Embody strong coach efficacy as a Mento Coach

    Upon each rate adjustment, you'll commit to a new 18-month contract.

    We'll reach out when you're approaching eligibility for your next tier. You're also always welcome to check in with us about your progress, timeline, and opportunities for growth!

    How do I adjust my capacity?

    Email coachsupport@mento.co and let us know! Please include a specific capacity number or range that you would be ideal. Please be sure you have the badwidth to maintain this capacity long term.

    I want more members, but Mento hasn’t filled my capacity. What do I need to do increase my members?

    Mento is here to support your coaching journey and help you attain more members. Here are some starting points:

    • What is your current capacity? What can you manage with other commitments? Let us know if you can take on more members and/or if you want help working through how to manage multiple commitments. We are here as a resource for you. Email us at coachsupport@mento.co
    • Evaluate your profile. Do you capture enough of your experience? (go ahead, brag! Create your brag sheet and send it to us so we know more about you and your accomplishments.) Is your offer resonating? What can you update to appeal to more members?
    • How are your Chemistry Calls? You are showing a new member what it would be like to work with you by asking coaching questions and telling them what it would be like to work with you as a coaching professional, the coaching process & the platform. Details matter. Do you reach out to the member and prompt them or wait? How do you wrap up a session? How do you follow-up? Or let a potential member know you can help without sounding pushy? How do you help us find more people that are a great fit for you? There are many moving parts to chemistry calls and the process. Complete a self-reflection and grab 15 min. We are here to help.     • Build a growth plan with Tara to work on development areas and continue to strengthen your capabilities as coach.
    • Ask for regular feedback. Schedule a 15 min meeting with Tara, take advantage of the drop-in sessions or send a slack.
    • Please know our priority will always be the match compatibility.

    My members cancel on me a lot, does that make me ineligible?

    No. We understand life happens and members cancel. We are looking for coaches to practice leading by example and avoid coach-initiated last minute cancellations. We expect coaches to develop agreements with their members and to help hold them accountable to attend their scheduled sessions as frequently as possible. Sometimes you get rascals. Often when members frequently cancel it’s because they are used to other areas in their life taking priority. Coaching is an investment; they need to show up like a professional. On time. Quiet. This is a coaching conversation.

    What do you mean by voluntary churn?

    Voluntary churn is when a member decides to leave Mento outside of their structured term. i.e. - XYZ company has a 12-month contract with Mento and a member decides to leave at month 7. This is voluntary churn. If that member completes the 12-months and the company terminates their partnership with Mento, this is not considered voluntary churn.

    I am going on leave, how did this affect my tenure?

    Mento considers a term the duration in which you are actively coaching at Mento. For example, if you coach for 15 months and then take a 3 month leave, you would need to actively coach for another 3 months to reach your 18 month tenure.

    How can I become eligible to coach executives? can I become eligible to coach executives?
    • All coaches are eligible to coach executives with any tenure however executives tend to select coaches that have relevant executive experience. We will always prioritize the best member <> coach match. If you are matched with an executive, we ask you to spend time with Tara working on additional skills so you are best prepared to successfully coach executive members.
    • We are actively trying to bring on more executive members. If you have any referrals (businesses or individuals), please let us know as we’d love to grow this segment of our member base.

    What happens if I fall below the minimum number of members after receiving a raise? How do member-pauses affect my qualification?
    • Our expectation is that you will uphold your minimum member quantity, however, we understand there may be fluctuating periods where you drop below due to involuntary member churn. We will allow a grace period of 3-4 months and partner with you to rematch with new members (as appropriately matched).
    • If you initiate a request to pause being matched OR reduce your overall capacity below the minimum member quantity at any level, we will need to reduce your rate to the tier in which you qualify. We need coaches to be consistent with their members. Our members don’t respond well to transition between coaches for any reason because disrupts their progress and growth.

    What does embodying a Mento coach mean?

    Embodying a Mento coach can come to life in various ways - if we were to sum it up easily, you’re actively engaged with us via the channels that work for you. We have an equally reciprocal relationship. i.e. You communicate with us proactively, especially around members or life moments that could impact your coaching. You participate via trainings, slack chatter, survey completions, etc. You have clear motivation to be at Mento with the mindset when Mento wins, you/other coaches win.
