Hello,
I’m writing to express my interest for the role posted. Over the past eight years, I have been involved in Software Engineering in various roles. I got my Bachelors and Master’s degree in Computer Science graduating from Temple University in January 2013.
Most recently, I have been working for Intent Global Inc. since April 2014 (6 years). My current title is of Associate Engineering Manager. Previously, I held the roles of Software Engineer (Full Stack) and Software Engineer in Test.
In my current role, I work on a team of 4 engineers. I lead and implement code for 3 distinct projects and support 2 more with other engineers. I am well versed in modern web stack with JavaScript, Typescript, Vue. I have done full stack development with Java, Ruby on Rails, Elixir, Nuxt.js, Node.js. I deploy code using CI/ CD tools like TeamCity and Travis. I use AWS Amazon Web Services application suite.
My day to day role involves high level of stakeholder management. I am the trusted liaison for business and technical teams. I serve as a member of competitive intelligence group. I am also an engineering partner for the UX research group where user feedback is incorporated into incremental feature development. My current work style involves around agile practices, pair programming, mob programming, code reviews, close collaboration, sprint planning, retrospectives, brainstorming sessions.
Beyond my role, I do quite a lot of volunteering and helped organized Google Dev Fest for 2016 and 2017. I formed and served as the President for Intent Toastmasters Club for more than 1.5 years. I am passionate about customer-centric product development. I co-invented 2 patents, one during my time at eBay Inc. and another more recently at Intent Global.
Throughout my career, I have gained extensive product development and management experience in very diverse settings. The most important lesson learned: success depends on leadership that reflects a collaborative style and a team that is mission driven.
For employment in USA, I would need a H1B transfer as I already have H1B status currently and I140 approval. For employment in Canada, I am a Permanent Resident, so I do not need any visa sponsorship. Thank you for considering my application. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me at 555-555-5555 or [your email].
Sincerely,
[your full name]
