Can I work on other coaching platforms (e.g. BetterUp, Growthspace, MentorCruise, Bravely, ADPlist, Twenty, etc)?
We ask our coaches to choose whether they want to work with Mento or with another coaching platform. We are a seed-stage startup and are working to develop a best-in-class product for our coaches and members. We provide extensive in-house training to our coaches through our Training Programs (101 + 201), Coaching Weeklies, 1:1 spot coaching with Tara, as well as access to Office Hours and other support to help our coaches become their best. We uniquely invest a lot in our coaches, and so we expect the same from all of you, not only for Mento but also for the members that you serve. As you can imagine, we don’t want to invest in your training and development only to have them you provide these new coaching skills and insights to our competitors. Moreover, we want to ensure that our coaches are really here for their members and not spread too thin! Members notice when their coaches don’t feel as present or feel like they’re too busy.
We try our absolute best to ensure coaches have the number of members desired and the support they need to feel successful as Mento partner. We consider all of our coaches part of our team, and want you to feel that, too. Please let us know early and often what you need from us, and we are always open to feedback. We are in work in progress!
As a general rule of thumb, we just don’t want a scenario where people could get the same service and/or coaches at Mento on a different platform (regardless of whether coaches are getting paid or volunteering).
