What is a Mento Profile

A Mento Profile is a customizable page on the Mento platform where you can share your bio, work experiences, and LinkedIn profile with Mento users. This is particularly useful for new members to get to know you better before you first 1:1.

Here’s an example of what a profile looks like:

Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Set up your mento.co email address that’s been sent to your personal email
  2. Sign in to coaching.mento.co with your mento email address
  3. Set up your profile
    • Add a photo of yourself 📸
    • Complete your name and profile card
    • Write your bio!
      • Helpful tips: Try to include all the juicy nuggets about you and your career! We recommend adding specific points about who you are, what you do, and what your expertise in. Tell members what your current employer does if that is relevant. This is your time to shine and let members know why they might want to work with you!
      • We know it can be hard to write your own bio, so we can be your editors-in-chief! Just ping us #yourname-coaching-support
    • Add your past ~5 previous roles — including your title and the name of the company. This can be more if you desire!
    • Select in which fields you have professional experience
    • Fill in what roles & dream jobs you can support based on your expertise
    • Pick your coaching style
  4. Set-Up a Mento Calendly Account
  • Using Your Mento.co Email address, set up your Calendly Account
    • Name the Event: Mento Coaching
    • Location: Google Meet
    • Time: 45 Minutes
    • Confirmation Page —> Update the Redirect URL to: app.mento.co
  • Tips:
    • Once you have created a Mento Coaching Calendly event, copy and paste this link into your coaching profile by going to Admin Settings → Manage → What’s your calendly URL?
    • Make sure to block off the times that don’t work for you, so people don’t book when you’re busy 😄
    • Calendly only allows you to book ONE event at a time, so if your member books their first coaching session using Calendly. You’ll need to align on a recurring time DURING the first call. More info is included in the First 3 Sessions Guide 😃
    • Note: We are not offering paid Calendly accounts at the moment but if this is important to you, feel free to upgrade your account!
