How to use the Growth Plan

💡
The Growth plan has four core pieces:
  • 💫 North Star: this is the long-term vision
  • 📆 One-year vision: where a Member envisions to be within a year
  • 🪨 Milestones (aka Goals): What will make progress toward the one-year vision
  • 🚶‍♀️Steps (aka to-dos): Can be stand-alone or assigned to a milestone. Helps Members make progress week to week.

1. Set your North Star and One-Year Vision

The first step in creating a Growth Plan is to set your North Star: where you want your career to be 7-10 years from now. This helps shape the work you do with your coach within each coaching session.

Once that’s finished, you’ll set your One Year Vision: what you want to accomplish within the next year to get closer to your North Star. Breaking down our bigger goals into bite-size goals makes them easier to achieve.

2. Choose your milestones

Now it's time to create a few milestones: the actionable goals you’ll tackle over the next 3-12 months to help you accomplish that One Year Vision. Going after too many at once can hinder your progress and cause confusion. Instead, focus on a few big-ticket items at a time.

  • Each milestone is a unique color and shape based on steps added
  • A member can have up to 3 active milestones at a time.

3. Add steps

Each milestone you create is accomplished through a series of steps, or bite-sized to-dos you’ll tackle. As you add steps and assign them to milestones, you'll see these milestones get personalized and come to life.

  • Not all steps need to be assigned to milestones
  • You can assign a due date for steps
  • Each milestone can have a max of 8 steps.
